it has been a nice ride. ive spent 3 years with this blog and i will miss the 1100 or so of you that have chosen to not follow me to my next blog. i might come back a couple times during the week to check for any stragglers that havent been online this weekend but other than that, i wont be posting any new content. ill probably deactivate this blog completely within a month or two, but or now i’ll keep it up so you can go through my archive and whatnot.
ive been thinking about remaking for a while.
if youre curious, im leaving this blog for a number of reasons. ive gotten into some mutuals that i dont feel comfortable being in, i do not feel i can fully express myself here, ive got a tangled web of acquaintances that are friendly with people i dont like, its likely that people in person may find my blog soon, i get triggered very often by blogs im in a mutual with, and generally this blog has just become too much to handle. so its nice to start fresh with a few cherished mutuals. no fuss and no pressure. i feel much safer.
im sure if you missed my announcement this weekend, you can find out where i went by asking a mutual that i talk to a lot on my blog or something. like i said, im leaving up my posts for a while, and if you liked me youll probably have an idea of who i talk to. i might have followed you on my new blog, if youre too shy to ask for my new url. dont be offended if not. so dont fret, we can probably follow each other again if you miss me that much.
i am not using the name dode on my new blog, as its a pretty unusual name on tumblr and it would be too easy for people im trying to leave to find me. ive asked people who follow me on my new blog not to refer to me as dode for this reason, and i am not going to disclose the name im using now. if you find me, please respect this.
ill probably hoard this url on my new account, so yeah. this blog’s definitely going away.
